Nu-Vision High School offers the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma with options in Information Technology and Business. It is offered over a period of two years under normal progress. Acceptance into the BTEC program is upon successful completion of the IGCSE or its equivalence.
The Pearson BTEC is a high-quality, career-focused qualification grounded in the real world of work. It is a curriculum that is more hands-on, offering a more practical approach to learning. The curriculum is based on study themes or modules that are called Units. The BTEC learner has to study units that total up to 1080 Guided Learning Hours and pass all the units in order to qualify for the certification of the diploma from Pearson.
Upon Completion of the Pearson BTEC International Level 3 Extended Diploma, there are three pathways tenable by a student. These are: Direct Entry to University/College, apprenticeship, or direct entry into the entry-level job market. Our BTEC develops a student's employability skills as we offer the experience of real-life practical tasks and work placements. This means that our BTEC learners develop and apply the knowledge, skills and behaviours that employers and universities are looking for.
The BTEC Business students study courses like: Managing an event, Digital Marketing, Research and Planning a Marketing Campaign, Recording Financial Transactions, Branding, Principles of Management, Sales Techniques and Processes, Pitching for a new Business, International Business, Financial Statements for Public Limited Companies, International Logistics, Team Building in Business among others.
The BTEC IT students study units like: Programming, Mobile Apps Development, Cloud storage and Collaboration Tools, Website Development, Software testing, Digital Animation and effects, The Internet of Things, Big Data Analytics, Cyber Security and Incidental Management, IT Technical Support and Management among others.
